My uncle was stationed at Eglin for 10 years and he ended up buying two houses in Crestview. He loves it there and still lives there even after retirement. He lives in a subdivision called Eastbrooke. His house was built about four years ago but most of the houses there are pretty new. His kids went to Crestview High School and they loved it there. I hope that helps a little.

Sorry for all who have to pcs here. Good luck. Your spouses first stop before entering the EOD school will be the Matador strip club right behind his building and just a convienant hop over the fence. Next you can replace Niceville with Cheaterville. Just saying been here 25 years, the beach the bars, the parties, the strippers, the alcohol, free hero worship sex, wife swapping and the porn is a very well secured and protected life you can expect him to join to be succesful in the EOD. He wll trade his kids, u and the dog in just after graduation its a requirement for recieving the crab. Get ready to stick your head in our beautiful white sand and leave it there for the next nine months like all the other EOD spouses who join the club and pretend their husbands arent doing it. Be PREPARED to be attacked by the ones who want you to look the other way and shut your mouth.

Me, are you an EOD spouse? Someone who lives in the area? What's your story? Whatever it is, it doesn't sound pleasant. While there are these issues within the EOD community it is not 100% all of them. That's just ridiculous, to me it sounds like you have been hurt and if that's true I'm sorry. BUT this site is here to help and support spouses and military S/O's not to spew resentment. If you need someone to vent or talk to, feel free to pm me.

Wow someone sounds bitter. If you have nothing better to do with your time than create a profile just to drag up an old post and make pathetic sweeping generalisations like that then I pity you.
