Dh goes through so many books I cant keep up with him. I send him about 8-10 books a month. I usually pick out books for him but I do not have time right now so I need your help! Anything Military, sports and Irish history is his favorite but other suggestions are welcomed too! TIA

I have read so many books on WWII and Irish History that I can't even remember. I wish I had all my books unpacked so I could just look on a bookshelf, but I haven't gotten around to that yet. I will just suggest what I can remember.

"With the Old Breed" by E.B. Sledge. They have based the HBO miniseries The Pacific off of his stint with the Marines in WWII.

"Band of Brothers" Steven E. Ambrose. Anything by Ambrose is good.

Irish History...I took a few classes on this and enjoy it as well.

Yes! I highly recommend Once an Eagle and The Big War, both by Anton Myrer.

I just published my novel, Life, Liberty, and Pursuit. It's a love story about a college-bound girl who falls in a pool, the Navy recruit who rescues her, and their struggle to choose between following their dreams and daring to love.

The Places In Between, Gates of Fire, Killer Angels. Dh reads a lot of Steven Pressfield books and I think his latest one is about Alexander the Great.

If you're looking for a new author to follow and a good series, try this one!  "The Scent of Fear".  The author is actually a forensic science expert so it's not just some person making stuff up, he actually lives it!
