I wasn't a fan of Twilight, but if you are into vampires & witches check out Anne Rice, she's a classic |

If you are into the supernatural series, I have to recommend the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris, first book is Dead Until Dark. I am currently reading another supernatural series, it's by Kim Harrison and it's about a witch who is a runner (basically her job is to pick up bad guys etc.) She ends up quitting her job as a runner for the IS (supernatural version of police force) and going solo. It's quite an interesting read and although more adult than Twilight, it's focus is more of an adventure series than a romance novel. |

House of Night series by PC & Kristin Cast stay in the same age range as Twilight (Young Adult). The first one is Marked; I actually liked these better then I liked Twilight. If you want something older and a little more "steamy" romance try Christine Feehan her Carpathian series (1st one is Dark Prince) or Sherrilyn Kenyon her DarkHunter novels. Lol, also there is Katie McAllister who cracks me up! I literally laugh out loud with her books. Either Aisling Grey or Dark Ones have that supernatural vibe to them. Good luck!! |

Oh I love the Aisling Grey series! All the ones I mentioned at myshell mentioned have some romance in them, although Rachel Morgan series is less so than the others. I second the House of Nights series! I liked them better than Twilight too. Myshell, I keep seeing Sherrilyn Kenyon books so I may have to check those out next when I finish the Rachel Morgan series. |

Sherrilyn Kenyon is the best! Lol, her series is like 20 books long (and keeps on going) and I keep on buying. I never buy hardcover and bought several of her hardcover books. She's one of my favs. Also, some more supernatural is Patricia Briggs (in fantasy is usually where she's found). She writes about shapeshifters; there's not much romance in them but there's some. The books are the ones with Mercedes Thompson as the main character. Another awesome read. |

I haven't read Twilight, just didn't appeal to me for some reason. But I will say Dracula was one of the best books hands down that I have ever read. The original one, because I'm sure there are others written in the past 100+ years, by Bram Stoker. Awesome book. Or if your just into the fantasy part of it, Time Traveler's Wife is an amazing book. There is a movie of it coming out in a few weeks but I really doubt that the movie will do the book any justice. |

Nicholas Sparks book "Dear John" is great and it's coming to theatres in Feb 2010! Channing Tatum (Step-up,Fight, GI Joe) is playing the main character and so is Amanda Segfried (Mamma Mia). I can't wait to see it! I'm finishing up my last Sparks book now "The lucky One," because he has a new one coming out September 8th. |

If you are into mystery, James Patterson is very interesting and his chapter's are REALLY short and easy reads. If you're into girlie books, the kind that make good "Chick Flicks", I recommend Sophie Kinsella's "Shopaholic" Series. Also, Marian Keyes is pretty good. |

It's hard to not like them. They're great books. You might also try readin the Inheritance Cycle (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, 4th book out some tme next year). Those are pretty good stories too. Good luck! |

OH! I forgot... if you liked Twilight you should try reading S. Meyer's The Host. That's a good book. I thoroughly enjoyed it. |

The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning is addictive. I second the motion for Charlaine Harris books, the True Blood series are all quick reads. There is another vampire series by Mary Janice Davidson and it starts with Undead and Unwed...its more humorous than romantic. J.R. Ward writes a romance series but its a little risque...I liked them, lo! |

There's the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. They are a mixture of adventure, romance, time travel, etc. VERY hard to put down. |

i LOVE reading but I am really picky. I Love sophie kinsilla (wrote the shopaholic series) she also writes under the name madeline wickham. I also really like mary kay andrews. If you like romance I can never go wrong with Sandra Brown, her writes romance and novels and they are all great! |

The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich has the whole romance side to it but also has a law side to it. I've become addicted to it and HIGHLY reccommend it! |

You might like Twilight fanfiction! Lot of people want more of the stories, after they've finished reading the originals. Here's one you might like - it's Twilight, only from Edward's point of view. |
