I have a few questions...I thought debt management programs dented your credit history and score? Do they work for ppl who get by fine....but would like to simplify things or lower payments etc anyways? Situation is i have a student loan (b of a relabeled it a credit card though) so i guess i have 2 credit cards with about same balance...one payment on one is about 200 a month and the loan/credit card is 600. other than that we have basic bills that are of no problem, and my hubby has a car loan out but that is automatically deducted from his military pay so we dont even realize we actually have it. we pay bills just fine...we are starting to save more as we were just married...i have an excellent credit score in the 700's but his is lower as he has never paid really anything and most military guys never build it up. i want us to get a consolidation loan for my two bills so that its one, and even have lower payments on it so we could save more, etc,,,,and maybe it woulod even be feaible for me to not have to work as much so we could start a family without other ppl raising our children...but we not able to get my stuff transferred away from b of a because they say i already have enough to handle...i am not trying to take on more money though...i am merely trying to get a loan to pay off another amount of money so i would be back to having the same amount of debt...just held with another place. i have great score and have always paid on time....i dont kmnow why its so hard....i want to get it done soon because i know that part of consideration is work history and if mil spouses are following their husbands around....we dont stay at the same employment for long....i dont know if this makes sense..i was just curious- Thanks
