Hello
I am new to this site! I will be marrying my Marine in 55 days! But then he goes back to Japan until May . Our duty station will be Miramar, we will be moving there next June. I was wondering if any of you had advice on whether or not to live on or off base. Also if anyone on this site is stationed in Miramar  and have or knows about an established group of military wifes that get together! Thank you so much!

We San Diego spouses know how to party!

Welcome to the Marine Corps life and welcome to San Diego. I am actually a Navy spouse who works a few blocks from Miramar. There are several ladies around these parts who either live at Miramar or in San Diego in general. In fact, I do believe that the host for the next CinCHouse San Diego get together is at Miramar.

Not living on base, I can't offer much advice there. What I can tell you though is that housing here in San Diego is handled through Lincoln Military housing. Personally, PenguinGuy and I live off base (he is stationed down at the naval base in downtown) and I love it. I am sure PenguinGuy will love it when he gets here. Lol, silly sailors going off to sea!
