Okay, I have seen SOOO much controversey over military Facebook pages lately.

The first is obvious, Knockers For The Troops. It's a bunch of girl's claiming to be wives and girlfriends who say their S/O's have given them permission to take pictures of their Knockers for the troops viewing pleasure through Facebook. The girl's knockers are covered, there is no blatant nudity, therefore it doesn't violate Facebook terms and conditions. It has been reported 3 times though and closed down, but keeps coming back.

The second is not so obvious, I only just found out about it, Overly Sensitive Military Wives. This page has been reported for harrassment and hate. It doesn't really harrass any one person or thing in particular. If you join the group everyone laughs about each other and equally gets laughed at. If any one person, race, religion, etc. is ganged up on, the person causing that drama gets banned.

My view on Knockers for the Troops:
While it is light porn, I don't see it any worse than a Playboy magazine. However, my one concern is if my husband found something he liked on there, it is not hard at all to contact the girl attached to the knockers. I'm also somewhat doubtful that 90% of the girls and the "troops" on there are authentic. Again, this goes hand in hand with the phrase, "I trust my husband, but I don't trust other women around my husband".

My view on OSMW:
Sometimes reading some of the things, I can't help but nod my head and scream, "Thank God! Someone out there views *example* the same way I do!" but reading other things, I can only shake my head and just say, "That's uncalled for". Usually when I am shaking my head though it is a person who ended up banned for hate and/or harrassment.

Another question, just because another group/page doesn't agree with what is being said/shown on another group/page, do you think its right for them to rally their members against the page and get it banned? Seems rather childish to me....I mean you "Like" the page, so just stop reading it and get on with your life!

Ugh, need an edit button! If you *don't "Like" the page, then stop reading and get on with your life!

I saw that group someone was talking about it on Real Housewives.....its really disgusting!

The Knockers for the Troops page is awesome!! I just saw it for the first time....some of the girls are clearly rather large but the guys are loving it all the same lol

I don't think there's anything wrong with the groups. Someone was calling them "tag chasing sluts" and I thought that was just extremely over the top. Sure, some of them probably are tag chasers, but that doesn't make them sluts. The same chick was like "we have a hard enough time keeping our families together on deployment" and "my husband doesn't need one more reason to cheat." Uh... Can I just say that if he's going to cheat, that group will NOT be the reason? And yes, it's hard keeping your relationship alive, but keeping it together is different and if you're having that hard of a time, it's NOT because of that group; it's because of your husband, you, and a lack of communication. Is that necessarily her fault? No, but she doesn't need to be taking it out on some girls who are having fun with it and entertaining a bunch of guys overseas (many of whom are SINGLE).

i need to look up this knockers group!

haha i think the knockers group is funny. if girls want to post their boobies for guys in the military i dont care. the guys clearly love it

The Overly sensitive Military Wives page is a disgrace and should be banned. Those are some seriously pathetic woman who are clearly so unhappy with their own lives they feel the need to be hateful to others.
They post pics they take of fat/ugly woman they see in the BX/PX and then all rag on them....it's disgusting and I would delete any friend of mine I knew was on there.

I don't like the Knockers group. For me porn is one thing but real women showing their boobs is a different one. Porn to me is somewhat removed from real life and I can deal with that. But generally I'm just so very sick of the whole boob fixation - it's everywhere for crying out loud! - so if I knew that J was in that group to check out other women's assets I'd be majorly upset. I just find it pathetic and sometimes wonder if a lot of those guys don't just "pretend" to be super into it because they feel the need to confirm that stereotype that is apparently the epitome of "tough guy". Ugh.

I don't think it should be banned or anything, as long as it's not breaking any rules, etc. I agree that it is kind of childish to try to get it banned. However, it kind of struck me as one of those things where they say rude things and then would accuse you of being "overly sensitive" if you were to object... hence the title.

I don't quite understand this. Women who work in porn are "real women" as well. I'm not into porn, but dehumanizing porn workers just seems so icky to me. It's not like they're all horrible people, who don't deserve empathy and to be treated with dignity.

That's how I feel. If it's not breaking the TOS, it shouldn't be banned; no matter how unsavory its content may be. It's really easy just to ignore it, so I don't understand wanting it banned just because you (general "you", not specific "you") disagree with it. 

That is soooo wrong to take pics of actual women and post the pics! Regardless of how they feel about them, its still someones wife/mother/daughter!!!!

bahahahaha. Agreed. The 'knockers' group sounds like one of those things that's just out there & I don't really need to waste my time with it. The overly sensitive wives group though, i'd be p***** if someone was taking pictures of me without my knowledge at the commissary and you bet i'd be asking for that group to get shut down. Whatever they do within themselves, not my problem.

Okay, so I ventured over to the OSMW page. It's not one I want popping up in my newfeed, etc & I don't agree with the pictures but I did see the humor in some of the posts.

They are on the boob page....on the Sensitive Military Wives page though they are posting pics of people they see out at the BX/PX and making fun of them.

I'm sorry but if I'm don't want DH going to a site like "Knockers for the Troops" (and I definitely DON'T!!) I'm going to make myself and reasons clear to HIM...not call them sluts trying to ruin my marriage and try to have their page shut down. And, if after making my wishes/concerns/etc. known with him and I find out he still goes...there will be serious problems between he and I...NOT me and that site!!! They didn't ASK him to go to the site...like a PP pointed out...they are really (mainly) catering to the single MM's.

In short...not a fan but definitely don't believe in having them shut down just because I feel threatened or insecure b/c of them (not saying anyone on here does feel that way btw)

OH...and I don't feel that way about this site either. lol.

Not a fan of either page, but I'm not going to "fight" for them to be shut down. I'd be up in arms about having my picture removed from the OSMW if it showed up there, but that's it.
