Amanda Knox's murder conviction was overturned yesterday and she was set free. She is currently on a plane headed back to the US. I'm kind of suprised at the number of people here who felt she was guilty...What do you think?

I personally think she is guilty, just not enough concrete evidence. I watched part of her original trial and what the defense had was good, but there was also a lot of holes. If she didn't do it, she knows what happened to the victim.

I don't know if she is guilty or if she is innocent. The thing is that the evidence was compromised by incompetent cops, people traipsing everywhere, she didn't speak Italian very well (just to list the few off the top of my head)... fact is that she didn't get a fair trail. I know that Italian courts and Italian justice is different but IMO to many questions and compromised evidence to prove that she was a part of the murder.

I highly doubt that the US will extradite her back to Italy for another trial, but she better be careful where she travels to from now on.

The next trial is Supreme Court and she does not have to be there for it at all.

There was too much screw up on the evidence and the way it was done and the prosectutor who is questionable on some other cases as well.

I tried following it for a while, then I somehow lost track. BUt I did see a Lifetime movie about it, and I could tell whoever wrote the story pretty much felt sorry for her because they potrayed her as being innocent...... I wonder if there is a way for me to catch up on it....

I think she's innocent. I think there was a rush to find a person responsible and they jumped on the roommate. Also, since she at one point "confessed"to being there and whatnot they decided she was guilty but people give false confessions all the time. Sometimes they just want the questioning and everything to be over and I can only imagine that in another country questioning would have been even more difficult. I think the evidence in this case was very poor either way though. The prosecutor and police did not do their jobs.
