Maybe that was the problem for DH...ugh! Im in charge this time around so I will make sure things are done correctly! LOL


Since he enlisted rather than commissioned....there isn't really any maybe to it, he went to an enlisted recruiter lol. (unless he really did want to come in enlisted rather than officer and changed his mind after getting in)

If he is looking to go Army officer, they do not have separate enlisted and officer recruiters. It is the same recruiters working in the same office (unless things have changed in the past 2 years). My DH went in wanting OCS and they tried to talk him into enlisting, as they do with all. At that point, you just have to stand strong for what you want. It seems that most recruiters aren't as experienced in putting together OCS packets as they are doing the enlisting process, whatever that is.

I have *heard* that they are becoming more strict in terms of who they are accepting for OCS and they are granting less waivers for getting around something that normally would knock them out of contention. However, I don't know if that applies across the board for prior MM and college-ops or only for college-ops. Of course, this may change since you said your contract is until 2013.
