Fitness rollers are popular with personal trainers, but the average person doesn’t really know how to use them or what they are for.
I have put together a 5 minute video on how to use these rollers for myofascial muscle release. (“Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy used to treat somatic dysfunction and resulting pain and restriction of motion. This is accomplished by relaxing contracted muscles, increasing circulation and lymphatic drainage, and stimulating the stretch reflex of muscles and overlying fascia”.- Wikipedia.)
I chose my favorite foam roller, the “SilverSport Pilates Roller” that not only melts away knots but also has two special features: a bumpy covering that temporarily reduces the appearance of cellulite (think smooth legs for summer, ladies!), and silver technology that keeps germs away. So you get a muscle massage, a stretch, cellulite reduction and stay clean!
Take a second to watch the
video and learn all you need to know about foam rollers to massage your legs, back and arms!
